Where is your studio?
Every where and anywhere i go. Our studio is portable as our clients are typically mobile and prefer their portraiture on location.
This enables us to give very different portraits than those offered as engagement shoots by studio, capturing your joy as experienced on your shooting day.
Do you shoot in JPG or RAW?
RAW captures sharp detail and enables the photographer to correct problems with photos easily. It is a safety net to both the photographer and you. Shooting RAW as opposed to JPEG empowers the photographer to make critical judgment calls for correcting images after the event. Amateurs usually shoot in jpg, surrendering to their equipment for the judgment call on image colour, exposure and quality. I have yet to find a camera that does this well. The advantage of shooting in jpg is that the photographer saves themselves time and money BUT at the cost of quality to you.
If you care about the quality of your photo, make sure your actual day photographer shoots in RAW format. If they say there is no difference my advice is to drop them and get another photographer immediately. They are either inexperienced, lazy or ignorant.
Once completed editing the RAW images your photographer will render the images from RAW into a usable format such as jpg, however this is very different from shooting in the format in the first place.
What kind of Cameras do you use?
I am asked this question a lot by budding shooters but it does not matter.
Remember the most important component in photography is the person holding the camera. Their knowledge of light, angles, lens and camera limitations all play a part in making the photo. camera is just a paint brush help you to express your art work.
What’s your style of photography?
My shooting styles is photojournalism and casual, low-key shots.. My goal in each session is to capture the essence of his subjects, whether it is achieved through light interaction and conversation or by simply observing them at play or in a moment of quiet contemplation.
When is the best time for photo shooting?
Outdoor shoots : are typically booked for early morning (by 8am) or late afternoon (an hour or two before sunset is best) in order to take advantage of the softest and most pleasing light.
For indoor shoots : natural, ambient (window) light is always preferred and is usually sufficient when photographing one or two person.
Sessions typically last about an hour to an hour and a half but they are never rushed. Plenty of time will be allowed for snacks, bathroom breaks, and cloth changes, if desired. Be relaxed. Enjoy the unexpected result.
Do you supply albums? Who chooses the images for the album?
Yes. All standard packages include either an album or individual fine art prints. Customer choose the images for the album.
This ensures the images are printed professionally and returned to you quickly.
Do you shoot outside of KL? How about overseas?
Yes. i shoot everything under the sun from sky, land and underwater. If you are located "outstation" or overseas, I’m able to travel depending on my availability dates.
Who owns the rights to the photos?
The legal rights to the photos belong to Frame Work Photography. These rights include usage of the photos for self promotion, editorial work, publication and public display on the Internet or any other media as the occasion arises. It is totally NOT in my interest to present you in a bad light. Self promotion may mean publication in either books, magazines, or newspaper.
How long do I have to wait before I receive my pictures?
DVD / CD copy of your pictures would be 1 – 3 weeks from event / photography day. Delivery of photobooks would depend on how fast you confirm which pictures you like.
How do I book you?
A deposit and signed contract is required to confirm your booking date. Calling me on the phone and telling me to hold the date open for you is not considered booking me. 50% deposit (non-refundable) of total package shall be made within 3 days upon reservation.
